On March 21, 2024, the second student scientific conference in ophthalmology was held at Tbilisi State Medical University. The conference was opened by Professor Sophia Bakhtadze, Vice-Rector for Science and Professor Nino Karanadze, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology.

Students from the faculties of medicine, dentistry, and stomatology presented their research findings on current issues in ophthalmology. The conference was organized by the Department of Ophthalmology, in collaboration with the Students and Alumni Relations and Career Development Service of TSMU and School of Future Doctors for Georgia.
