On March 30, 2012, the conference on “Autism in Georgia", organized by TSMU Students Self-Governmental Body and Autism Society of Georgia, was held at the TSMU administrative building meeting hall.
In the conference participated: Mako Kapanadze and Giorgi Mukhigulashvili, the students of Tbilisi State Medical University and invited guests: Rusudan Mkheidze, Psychologist and Medea Zakariashvili, representative of Autism Society of Georgia who represented documental material on “Autism Symptoms”. At the end of conference the discussion was arranged.
On April 2, 2012, the walking from the Tbilisi Central Concert Hall to Freedom Square, devoted to the International Day of Autism, was organized. Informational booklets - ”What is Autism?” - were distributed in the population.
